Terms of Use

These conditions govern use of Menard County Criminal History. Reading the site's content, opening any page, or submitting a query through a search tool signifies acceptance of every term below. If you do not agree, stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. Menard County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to a local, Texas, or federal government body. This website and its advertising partners do not offer tools for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant screening, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The site directs visitors to criminal-record resources for Menard County, Texas. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. We do not hold official criminal records, obtain records for visitors, conduct official background checks, or submit legal paperwork.

The site identifies sources that keep Menard County criminal records, including the Menard County Sheriff's Office, local court clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. It may also link to third-party research tools. Government records remain subject to the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, and other applicable laws.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

  • Attempt to enter systems or data without authorization
  • Use site information to harass, threaten, or stalk another person
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the pages
  • Use the site in violation of federal, Texas, or local law
  • Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access
  • Rely on site content for housing, hiring, lending, or insurance decisions

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information from this website or a linked tool to stalk, intimidate, harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. Texas Public Sex Offender Registry data is provided under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 for public-safety awareness. It is not permission for vigilantism, harassment, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination. Texas law may impose penalties for misuse directed at a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not prepare credit reports, background checks, or any other consumer report. Our advertising partners and this website do not provide products designed to evaluate rental applications, job applicants, insurance rates, or creditworthiness. Information from the site or a linked service must not be used to:

  • Set an insurance premium or assess creditworthiness
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government program
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

When a regulated background check is required, use an official Texas Department of Public Safety process or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA. Texas criminal-history dissemination is also limited by Government Code Section 411.083, while Section 411.135 authorizes the public DPS conviction and deferred-adjudication subset.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General information about Menard County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to one person. Consult a lawyer licensed in Texas for advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered "as is." We make no warranty that:

  • A partner search result will be complete or correct
  • The website will remain available without interruption
  • Every page will be free from bugs, errors, or security defects
  • Information will always be accurate, current, or complete

Criminal records can change as charges are filed, dismissed, restricted, or expunged, so omissions and delays can occur. No site content is an official statement from the Menard County sheriff, a court, DPS, or another public agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to the Menard County sheriff, court portals, Texas agencies, legal-aid organizations, and outside search providers. Those destinations are beyond our control. We are not responsible for their availability, fees, data practices, or content. Review the destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Menard County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Without prior written permission, you may not reproduce, distribute, alter, or create derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from use of the website, including reliance on information obtained here or from a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, demands, or legal proceedings caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of this website must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page.
